The Challenge

On-site session access control requires instant validation of attendee credentials, accurate attendance tracking, and seamless synchronization across multiple devices. We needed to support high-throughput scanning at session entrances, prevent duplicate or invalid scans, and reliably track both entry and exit activity. The system had to remain stable under peak load when large groups of attendees arrive at session rooms at the same time.

Our Approach

We developed a native scanning application optimized for rapid QR code recognition and minimal operator interaction. The app implements check-in and check-out logic to ensure precise session attendance data. To support different on-site workflows, two scanning modes were introduced: Smart Scan, which automatically manages camera activation based on scanning state, reducing manual actions and improving operator efficiency; and Continuous Scan, where the camera remains active for uninterrupted, high-volume scanning during peak traffic periods. Real-time communication ensures all scan events are instantly synchronized with central cloud services, keeping session attendance data consistent across the platform.

The Outcome

Entryvent Scans significantly improved on-site session flow, reducing congestion at session entrances and minimizing manual errors. Accurate, real-time attendance data enabled better capacity control and post-event session analytics. The application performed reliably even during high-density entry scenarios.
